This mulch is a rich, dark brown and will not easily fade. Only the choicest of woods are chosen for our dyed mulches to ensure a uniform color. Dyed mulch is finely chipped instead of double-hammered and then placed in a tumbler with a non-toxic, EPA-approved dye. Dyed mulches do not pack down and can float or wash in some conditions.
